Sarai Rodriguez
At the age of 13 I joined the adolescent choir of my parish. Two years later I had a wonderful experience in a spiritual retreat. I met a God friend who took me into his arms when I was going through difficult times; Jesus changed my sorrows into joys, and my loneliness in his sweet company. He transformed my thinking, my feeling ... my life.
I felt a great urge to learn to play the guitar, and by the grace of God I did it. While practicing with the guitar, I began to compose my first lyrics for God, without imagining that God had prepared for me a beautiful apostolate as a soloist that I began in 2000 with my first production entitled "No te surrendas". |

One of the Parables that marked my life is that of the talents (Mt. 25, 14ff). When I heard it, I began to ask myself: In whose service was I putting the talents that God gave me? Later I understood that singing was not bad in itself, but I had a serious problem, I liked to drink, and that combined with my work (I was the vocalist of a versatile group) was harming me.
Jesus Christ not only came to take care of my sin problem, but to make me a whole person. And so I left what I liked so much, singing, burying my dreams forever, according to me, without even imagining that a great adventure awaited me in all aspects of my life, in which singing for God, One and Three, would bring to me life, and not only to me but to all those who would hear his Word through my songs, we would receive liberation, healing, joy, faith, hope, and everything that God the Father, through Jesus Christ, his Son and with the Power of the Holy Spirit and intercession of Mary, our Mother, knows how to give. |
